Important Announcement

There will be no regular Rotary meeting until Tuesday, January 9, 2018. We hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year!

Recap

My apologies for the late newsletter this week. I wanted to make sure we had plenty of pictures from the Christmas party to share with everyone. Christmas is upon us and what better way to get in the spirit than to have attended the Annual Kid's Christmas Party last Tuesday! It was definitely a success! It's so humbling and heartwarming to see these excited children receive gifts that they might otherwise not have gotten. Thank you to everyone that made this event possible this year! Getting to love on these children and provide a magical Christmas they will never forget was such a blessing!

Kelly Johnson asked to share a few words with everyone about the party. "Today was simply amazing! Just when I think it can't get any better, the next year always warms my heart a little more! I had the luxury of transporting 4 students back to NCES, and they talked non-stop on the way home about how this "was the best day of their life!" One gentleman bragged that his toboggan was from Hibbett, and he had never gotten anything from there before. I think we will all agree that seeing our Pre-K student run to Santa for a warm embrace was the highlight of the day.

Clinton City Schools appreciates the effort and compassion of the Rotary Club for taking care of our students on this day. There is no doubt that your efforts made our students have a wonderful holiday. I am proud to be part of such a generous organization who not only talks about service, but lives it.

I wish each of you a wonderful holiday season. On behalf of Clinton City Schools and myself, thank you!"

Membership

We had too many visitors to count! Thank you for bringing them with you! Having the party in the big room was definitely a must this year!

Project Information

ET has asked to remind everyone that we need more coat donations for the Community Action Coat Drive. We are accepting new and gently used coat donations in all sizes to help furnish coats for those that don’t have the money to buy one otherwise. You may either drop your donations off at Fox Toyota, MIG or bring them to Rotary with you on Tuesdays. We haven't collected as many coats this year and need more donations. In the past, our club has collected about 5,000 coats per year for this. We hope this year will be no different! Please see ET with any questions.
The Clinton Rotary Club will be handing out dictionaries to Clinton City School's Third Grade students on January 10, 2018. We need volunteers who would like to go and participate. Our first meeting back is not until the 9th, so we won't have much time to rally volunteers and organize details if we wait until then. If you would like to participate, please see Dean Knight.

Business Announcements
